View of lake and vibe of lobby
Older cabin with out-dated bathroom and broken window. By time resort fees applied it was too expensive but was peak holiday

The room was en suite, the location was amazing secluded. There was a lake and a park next to the place. The restaurant here was pretty good for dinner, we both ordered creative dishes. A fridge and a stove were nice.

The Staff. Very professional. Very cordial. Very accomodating. And sincere. The location. Right on the lake front. Great views from the room. Close to everything yet not main stream. A nice quiet getaway that was very relaxing.
I don't know what negative things I could say about this place. Its rustic. Its in a great location. The staff is superb. They care. And they'll take care of you. They do their very best to meet your needs. I would go back in a second. Even book dinner. If I could get in. Seems it is a very popular place. I was just happy to get a room there!!

Cozy atmosphere
The room amenities felt a bit old, especially the bathroom

The snow pile-up everywhere was overwhelming - literally creeping up onto the lodge windows.. A shopowner downtown tols us there had been 60 feet of snow which was the worst in his 20 years living at Yosemite. The place around Tamarack, however, was literally postcard-picture perfect. Perhaps for non-ski-erothings there was nothing much to do except click the camera away.
The amount of snow was just too much. There was nothing to do.

Even though the cabins aren't very new, they are what you could call rustic and charming. The restaurant is not cheap but well worth the money
Be careful with your credit card, they keep your warranty blocked for 12 days, in stead of 48 hours as they claim.

restaurant is really good and sitting in front of the fire place is enjoyable
internet did not function and the rooms were very old fashioned

The surroundings were amazing and the hotel was very quaint.
I did not realise that there was a room occupancy tax and a service charge which in total added on $40 to my bill. Perhaps I did not read that fine print but that was totally unexpected.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this hotel! Clean, great value property, its location was stunning and just off Mammoth during the winter, both Yosemite and Death Valley national parks and lakes. Appetising food and fabulous room - had a great stay for the price. The bed was exceptionally comfortable & the staff was incredible.
